Payments Are Coming in for 10/1 DOS

ICD-10 claims, those with dates of service after 10/1, are getting paid so far by, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, United Health Care, and Medicare. Others are pending. With amazing preparation, training, and support PBMS has seen a smooth transition.

We anticipate that they all won't be easy, but we are armed with the knowledge and training to make sure ICD-10 is not  a problem for our providers. Can you say the same about your billing? We aren't saying that your office staff (if they are the one's doing the billing), are the problem, instead we believe the industry is becoming more complex and difficult to navigate. We have the resources and knowledge to help do what needs to be done, and that's to get you your money.

New Logo and Design

It's FINALLY here. Our new logo and brand. We are so excited to have this new branding for our company. The new logo design provided by Never Boring Design and Associates in Modesto did a fantastic job at capturing the "humanistic", and cutting edge company that we are.

It speaks to our advanced technology, education, and dedication to quality work while also maintaining a warm and inviting color scheme. May this new design take us into the next 28 years in business!

ICD 10 Has Arrived

ICD-10 IS HERE!

ICD-10 is arriving tomorrow and although the majority of payers are prepared, we are prepping for any and all circumstances and working tirelessly to make the transition as smooth and seamless as possible. We have no doubts about how to get the job done and hope that all of our providers will come to us for any questions or concerns they may have.

ICD-10 has been a major concern for some of our providers as I'm sure they are for many physicians. We understand that you are worried about not being able to use paper fee tickets, that it will be more time consuming, and that all of your memorized codes are gone and all of your diagnoses are brand new codes.

We are so proud of our staff and our providers for using the education we've provided to them. The transparency between the offices and our staff has been encouraging and beneficial. Although anxiety still might be looming about ICD-10, we are the gladiators that will fight this battle with all our providers armed with the knowledge that we know exactly what we are doing and how to achieve our goals together.

1 day and counting...

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month -September

Worldwide, more than 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year—that’s nearly the entire population of Jackson, Mississippi. Cancer is not prejudice and plays no favorites to race, nationality, gender or otherwise.

A lot of us at PBMS have children, and the thought of losing one to an aggressive illness like cancer, makes us shutter. No parent should have to live without their child, so at PBMS the world's children are our children for the month of September. They are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.

If you are interested in getting involved or donate please visit http://www.stbaldricks.org/kids . For many of us, the financial means may not be available to donate and that’s okay, but one thing we can do is bring awareness to this awful circumstance by wearing GOLD for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, which happens to be September.

PBMS will be wearing Gold September 9th to show support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Please join us!
